A Tribute to Old Glory

New York-based artist Scott LoBaido will pay homage to—and share his vision of - what he considers “the greatest piece of art ever created” the American flag—with the opening of his art show Tuesday, July 1st at 6 p.m. During the reception, while guests look on, LoBaido will create an American flag in three minutes, utilizing a unique art form known as “speed painting”.
In addition, a variety of pieces created by LoBaido, in celebration of the American flag, will be on display. The exhibit is located on the second floor of 337 Broome Street (at the corner of Bowery Street) from July 2nd through July 4th between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. They will be available for purchase.
A portion of sales will be donated to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation for their Building for America’s Bravest program. The Building for America’s Bravest program is devoted to building “smart homes” for catastrophically injured service members.
