There is a special bond among those in the lacrosse community and first responders. More than 70 individuals with strong ties to the lacrosse community died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The First Responder Lacrosse Tournament will take place on September 8th and 9th at the Town of Oyster Bay Field of Dreams Athletic Park in Massapequa, Long Island. The tournament will comprise teams from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Colorado, and Canada. A percentage of proceeds will benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
