How does the tax deduction work?

The IRS allows you to claim the fair market value of your donated vehicle up to $500. If your vehicle sells for more than $500, you can claim the actual sale price as your deduction. Our car donation program works hard to achieve the highest possible sale price for each vehicle to maximize the impact of your gift. If your vehicle sells for more than $500, you’ll be notified and provided with the updated tax-deductible donation receipt.
