The Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Never Forget Concert takes place Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville, TN. This concert is a closed event and tickets are only given to first responders and military service members local to the Nashville area. The Nashville based country music band Old Dominion is the Never Forget Concert headliner, and the concert features a line up of legendary country music musicians that includes Willie Shaw, Lee Brice, Darryl Worley, and Brantley Gilbert. 

This year’s Never Forget Concert includes important announcements from Tunnel to Towers that covers delivering mortgage-free homes to five Tennessee Gold Star families, as well as delivering a mortgage-free home to the family of fallen Franklin Police Department Police Officer Jeffrey Carson. Tunnel to Towers’ Veteran Homelessness program is also a major component of the concert’s announcements that highlights our partnerships with organizations dedicated to combating veteran homelessness. Our Veteran Homelessness Program is an ambitious campaign with the goal of eradicating veteran homelessness in America by providing mortgage-free comfort homes to homeless veterans across the country, as well as comprehensive care including mental health counseling and career services.

Jeffrey Carson was a country singer turned Police Officer who retired from his musical career to pursue a career in Law Enforcement. Police Officer Carson recorded demos for Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Officer Carson lost his life on March 26, 2022, when he suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after moving heavy furniture off I-65. He is survived by his wife Kim and their son Dayton. The five Gold Star families whose mortgages were paid off by Tunnel to Towers are U.S. Army SPC Russell Shane Hercules Jr., U.S. Army SGT Louis Ramos, U.S. Army SGT William Bernard McKenna, USMC Captain Travis Walker Brannon, and U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Ofren Arrechaga.

The Never Forget Concert honors the 2,977 people who lost their lives on 9/11, which include 73 law enforcement officers and 343 firefighters that sacrificed their lives that day bringing others to safety. We honor these heroes and their ultimate sacrifice they made by delivering mortgage-free homes to the families of America’s heroes who make supreme sacrifices in the line of duty protecting our communities and our country; it is now our turn to serve our veterans that patriotically served our nation by ensuring that they have a home and all of the support that they need.
