DESCRIPTION:The Siller Family started the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory and carry on the legacy of their brother\, Stephen\, a New York City ­firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11\, 2001 after strapping 60 lbs. of gear to his back and rushing on foot through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers\, where he gave up his life while saving others. In 2013\, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation launched its 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit; a tribute to all those who lost their lives on September 11\, 2001\, including\, of course\, the 343 members of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice. The high-tech\, 53-foot tractor-trailer\, which transforms into a 1\,000 square foot exhibit\, is a tool to further educate citizens throughout the country about the events of that tragic day. Welcomed around the country\, from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds\, the memorial provides interactive education; including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers\, documentary videos\, and recordings of first responder radio transmissions. Interactive guided tours are carried out by FDNY firefighters who provide firsthand accounts of the day and its aftermath. The club hosted the 2017 Presidents Cup\, which comprises a team from the United States competing against an International team. \nEach year\, the event is hosted by The Honorable Rudolph Giuliani. The former New York City mayor\, who also serves as chairman of the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk NYC\, has been a stalwart support of the Foundation since its inception.

DESCRIPTION:The Siller Family started the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory and carry on the legacy of their brother\, Stephen\, a New York City ­firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11\, 2001 after strapping 60 lbs. of gear to his back and rushing on foot through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers\, where he gave up his life while saving others. In 2013\, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation launched its 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit; a tribute to all those who lost their lives on September 11\, 2001\, including\, of course\, the 343 members of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice. The high-tech\, 53-foot tractor-trailer\, which transforms into a 1\,000 square foot exhibit\, is a tool to further educate citizens throughout the country about the events of that tragic day. Welcomed around the country\, from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds\, the memorial provides interactive education; including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers\, documentary videos\, and recordings of first responder radio transmissions. Interactive guided tours are carried out by FDNY firefighters who provide firsthand accounts of the day and its aftermath. For many\, this is the most important interview of their lives\, as they showcase their skills for the NFL\, CFL\, USFL\, and XFL scouts during Hula Bowl Week. Historically played in Hawaii\, the Hula Bowl is now played on the mainland in Orlando\, Florida\, at the UCF FBC Mortgage Stadium. January 15\, 2022\, saw the inaugural Hula Bowl game in Florida\, at the University of Central Florida Bounce House Stadium. The game received an overwhelming response and support from the Florida community\, as they extended a gracious and warm welcome to our athletes and the Hula bowl coaches and staff. We are very excited to announce that our 2023 Hula Bowl game will be played at the University of Central Florida FBC Mortgage Stadium\, and will be televised on CBS Sports Network\, with a noon kickoff\, on Saturday\, January 14th. \n\n
